For the 15th time, the Swiss LSE Alumni Association is hosting "True Purple", the informal annual gathering of graduates, current and former students, members of staff, visitors and friends from all the Colleges of the University of London.

Enjoy the 12th installment of our Ethnic Dinner Series running since 1999. Interspersing our other events and activities, the Dinner Series is our culinary homage to the long and distinguished tradition of area studies at the School.

The town of Aarau is hosting the Swiss Federal Gymnastics Festival for an impressive seventh time since 1832. Be there to see some 62'000 gymnasts from 2'344 clubs flaunt their skills. 150'000 visitors are expected. The largest multi-sport event in Switzerland takes place every 6 years. Having just come out of our 20 Year Jubilee, join us to have your say in the running of one of the most active independent and autonomous national associations of LSE alumnae and alumni worldwide.

The SLSEAA is the only national association of LSE alumnae and alumni worldwide with its own sports team. The team first competed in 2007. Our boat is always recruiting paddlers of all abilities for various races throughout the year. We field mixed crews of female and male paddlers in recreational race categories and always have free spots. Camaraderie, fitness and fun are our aims. Never have paddled before in a dragon boat? No problem, you will be instructed. The London Dragons would be delighted to welcome you as our newest recruit.

New and returning LSE students, you are cordially invited, prior to going up to London, to link up with alumnae and alumni of the School for some insider information on life in London and thereafter. All students will enjoy complimentary drinks, courtesy of LSE alumnae and alumni. Students are welcome to bring their parents or siblings with them.

The Association has dabbled in video productions in the past but a submicroscopic infectious agent makes us to be all in. The Association is introducing regular shows with remote guests broadcasted live into the homes of LSE alumnae and alumni.

LSE alumna and Director-General of the Royal United Services Institute, Dr. Karin von Hippel, will address and answer your written questions on a range of global security topics during these extraordinary times, including digital vigilance, national intelligence, privacy, the Near/Middle East, China, Russia, USA & NATO, the United Nations and migration, during a live Webinar

The world has changed. The epidemiological, social and economic effects of the SARS-CoV-2 pandemic will linger on for a long time. Fundamental shifts create unique opportunities, and the Association is taking advantage of them by conducting its General Meeting for the first time as a video conference with secure live online voting. "The Inside Angle" is a laid-back talk and interview show featuring LSE alumnae and alumni and other guests discussing their work, ventures and adventures for insight and enjoyment. Produced and hosted by the Officers of the Association, regular show episodes are broadcasted live on YouTube.

A submicroscopic infectious agent is forcing the Association to change its plans for this year. Instead of postponing the 17th True Purple to next year (as previously announced), we would be delighted to welcome you instead to a nationwide video conference of the graduates, current and former students, members of staff, visitors and friends of all the Colleges of the University of London.
